Information Security is changing, as technology changes around us.  

We need to adapt to new methods of working which place a greater emphasis on data sharing.  Moves towards outsourcing and/or offshoring, the use of third party services, the use of social networking for commercial purposes, the adoption of Cloud services, etc., all have the effect of breaking down the corporate boundaries as they used to exist and causing us to re-think traditional security approaches.  These new ways of delivering the company’s IT Services present new opportunities for the business but also provide new opportunities for those who would wish to attack it.  

The traditional threats we all recognise will never go away, but new ways of delivering IT, better and more pervasive technology, greater internationalisation and changing social values, all contribute to the emergence of new threats to our systems, which bring new security challenges.
